Eligibility Requirements
Individuals referred to our Supported Living Program must meet the eligibility criteria established by the Persons with Developmental Disabilities (PDD) – Calgary Region Community Board. This ensures that every participant receives appropriate, consistent, and high-quality support within the provincial framework.
Diverse Support Services
Under our Supported Living Program, we provide a comprehensive range of support services that promote personal growth, independence, and holistic well-being. These services are classified under different codes to address specific areas of support:
1020 – Support Homes:
Offers a nurturing and family-like environment through live-in supportive roommates who assist with daily routines and personal development.
1030 – Supported Independent Living:
Provides individuals with the freedom to live independently while offering assistance in areas such as budgeting, meal preparation, and community participation. Supportive neighbor arrangements are also available.
1040 – In-Home Respite:
Allows caregivers to rest and recharge while ensuring continuous, high-quality care for individuals at home.
1050 – Out-of-Home Respite:
Provides short-term residential support for individuals, offering both participants and caregivers a beneficial change of environment.
2010 – Pre-Employment Supports:
Helps individuals develop essential employment skills and prepare for meaningful work opportunities that match their abilities and interests.
3000 – Community Access:
Encourages individuals to engage in community activities, build social connections, and enhance personal growth through meaningful participation and inclusion.
